go1984 version 15.8.1.0 is now available — an important update for our video management software.

The focus of this release is squarely on security, stability and performance.

The integrated go1984 proxy in particular has been thoroughly reworked and hardened against modern attacks from the internet — complemented by brute-force protection, DoS protection, request filtering and further measures against common attack vectors. At the same time, numerous optimisations in the WebClient deliver smoother operation and better performance in day-to-day use.

In brief

  • The HTTPS proxy now operates as a full reverse proxy and inspects every request instead of simply passing it through
  • New protection against DoS, brute-force and Slowloris attacks as well as against manipulated requests
  • The real client IP now reaches the internal web server — accurate logs and IP-precise blocking
  • Please note: GPU acceleration now requires Nvidia driver 580.00 or later

Changelog V15.8.1.0 (11/08/2026)

Security

  • The integrated go1984 proxy has been comprehensively hardened against attacks from the internet
  • The HTTPS proxy now operates as a full reverse proxy in front of the go1984 web server and inspects every request instead of merely forwarding it
  • Protection against denial-of-service (DoS) attacks: limits on concurrent connections per client IP and in total — access remains stable even during connection floods
  • Automatic brute-force protection: IP addresses with repeated failed logins are temporarily blocked
  • Protection against “Slowloris” attacks via a time limit for receiving request headers
  • Request filtering: only permitted HTTP methods are allowed, plus protection against path traversal (including URL-encoded), overly long URLs and manipulated requests
  • Protection against HTTP request smuggling through canonical reconstruction of all requests
  • The real client IP is now passed on to the internal web server — accurate logging, display in the session overview and IP-precise blocking (previously always “127.0.0.1”)
  • Protection against local port hijacking and more robust connection handling (the service survives resource shortages without restarting)

Improved

  • Minimum Nvidia driver version 580.00
  • [WebClient] Smoother timeline scrubbing
  • [WebClient] Performance
  • [WebClient] Failed cameras now display a message instead of the last image

Bugfixes

  • Disabling the web server could cause go1984 to terminate unexpectedly
  • [WebClient] View Designer player: fixed slider, playback, thumbnails and ESC
